Iberico "Bellota" Cured Meats

The ecosystem of the dehesa is a blessing to all animal and plant species that live in it, but specially to the Iberian pig breed. The temperature, rainfall and similarity of terrain allow the development of an exclusive breed in free-range conditions. Its purity of blood, and the feeding on acorns of the genus Quercus, like cork trees, holm-oaks and gall oaks, their own pastures, and the tradition in terms of handling, make it possible to obtain excellent quality products and reputed “bouquet”, as is the case for the cured meats and hams from Iberian acorn-fed pork.

Pigs live in total freedom feeding on acorns and herbs and this process makes the meat acquire special and unique organoleptic qualities and also gives it a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid.

Pais de Quercus es una asociación de productores y ganaderos extremeños que te llevan a casa las mejores carnes de la dehesas del suroeste de la península ibérica.

Horario: de 10:00 a 14:00 y de 16:00 a 19:00 de lunes a jueves y de 10:00 a 15:00 los viernes.

¿Por qué congelamos la carne?

Los cerdos ibéricos alimentados de bellotas y hierbas de la dehesa son sacrificados exclusivamente durante los meses de enero, febrero y marzo que es cuando termina la temporada de aprovechamiento de la bellota, tambien llamada "montanera". Durante esos tres meses País de Quercus envasa y ultracongela (-41ºC)  todas las carnes de la campaña para que puedas disfrutar de ellas durante todo el año sin que las mismas sufran ningún detrimento de calidad.
